 | | Nightwatch is an activity that takes Explorers on an all night trip (7p - 7a) visiting 3rd shift businesses to see what happens after bedtime. Some activities include a cruise on the Star of Louisville, 1am doughnut raid at Krispy Kreme, and early morning bowling. |

 | | This activity allowed many area Police, Fire, EMS, and National Guard Explorer Posts to come together and do their part in a simulated large scale disaster. The disaster involed a police chase, hostage situation, shootout, fugitive search and rescue, car fire, structure fire, victim triage and treatment, and a landing by StatCare air ambulance. |

 | | The following pictures were taken during training in Auto Extrication. If a car wreck has left victims trapped in a car, the firefighters use a variety of tools and techniques to stabilize the vehicle and gain access to the victim. Two cars were donated to the Post for training purposes, and were totally taken apart by the time they got done with them! No real victim was trapped during this training ... don't try this at home! |

 | | This was a training at the Fire Training Facility. Explorers trained in Search and Rescue, Ladders and Hoses using the same facility used to train adult Firefighters, except that there was no live fire or smoke. The darkness was the same, and it was a hot night, and from the soot on everything, it smelled like the real thing! |
